Edgerton Coalition for a Healthy Community creates partnerships to address the needs of the community and provide healthy opportunities for Edgerton youth and families.
The mission of ECHC is to create a safe and drug free environment by raising awareness, educating and supporting positive change for the community and youth. The VISION of ECHC is that Edgerton as a community values and supports their youth and promotes positive youth development.
ECHC was created in 2007, through a grant received by Partners In Prevention. The coalition was established in response to the Search Institute survey results indicating Edgerton youth were at an increased risk for engaging in underage drinking and drug use. The results identified strengths and deficits in the developmental assets of Edgerton youth.
