- Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change is a collaboration of pro-active community members and groups committed to eliminating risk-taking behaviors in all youth through advocacy, awareness, and action.
- The coalition envisions a united Janesville focused on changing social norms to become a safer and healthier community.
Coalition Focus:
(1) Underage alcohol use
(2) Youth marijuana use
(3) Medication misuse by youth
Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change evolved out of the Janesville School District's ATODA committee. By becoming a community coalition, JM4C opens the opportunity for many other sectors of the community to become involved in a partnership to identify and address local issues.
Currently JM4C members are gathering and analyzing data about the city, in order to identify what factors affect local substance use by youth. Information from interviews, surveys and environmental scans will shape the strategic plan of JM4C.

A committee of JM4C is also working on developing coalition bylaws, coalition member job descriptions and coalition involvement agreement forms.
Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change meets on the third Thursday of the month from 1:30-3pm in the conference room at the Hedberg Public Library.
All Janesville community members and community groups are invited and encouraged to attend.
